I arrived at Oasis One Sixty, located way down in the south suburbs, around 7:30pm. After a few minutes of being there some band called Dread Locked started playing. The best thing about them was that their drummer had a bunch of saw blades around his drum kit which looked pretty cool. But as far as their music goes I just don't really care for hardcore, metalcore or whatever the heck they call it these days.

Rune was the next band to play and they sounded pretty good to me. They mix death metal with doom metal to create their own sound. I never heard of them before but my friend Jim who went out on tour with Macabre said that they were good. And he was right so I'll have to see about getting their CD. They played for about a half hour and they got a good response from the crowd that was there to see Macabre.

Macabre being the headliners were the last band to play for the night. And unfortunately I had to leave early and wasn't able to stick around for their whole set. If you never been to a Macabre show then you don't know what your missing out on. They always put on a heck of a show and you also get to hear some banter from Corporate Death talking about the serial killers that they write about before they start playing a song. That and they have some one put on an Albert Fish mask and come out on stage and scare the kiddies in the crowd. Before I had to leave I bought a "Zodiac" hoodie from them. I wish I could have stayed for all of their set but I had plans for after the show and thought the show would have been over sooner seeing how it was an all ages show.
