I just got back from Metalfest a little while ago after dropping Osborne off at the airport.

I drove up there on Friday and got there around noon, and went to Hotel Wisconsin to pick up my ticket from Throcult. Went over to the Hilton and met up with Osborne there and checked into the hotel.

We walked over to the fest and waited around for awhile before they started letting people in. This year they were not allowing people to bring backpacks in so we went back to the hotel, grabbed a few more Warsteiners out of my car and headed back over there. More problems ensued. They would not alow me to bring my camera in because the lense comes off. It says on their website that camera's are allowed and does not mention that you can't bring in SLR type camera's. Fucking pissed me off.

Walked back to the hotel and left my camera in the room and went back to the fest. We saw Rev, who was a few people in front of us, go inside the venue. We weren't sure if it was him or not until we found out later on.

This years setup was different, the four stages were next to each other. There were two next to one another in the main arena and then the same setup off to the side. Kinda weird but at least there were bands playing on only two stages at the same time instaed of four going all together.

We walked around and perused through the merchandise in vendorville. First band that we saw was Vehemence from Arizona and they put on a good show. We saw a couple more bands play and then found the Rev and spent the rest of the night hanging out with him and his girlfriend. The best bands that played on Friday night were Decapitated and Arch Enemy IMO.

On Saturday, we walked over to the fest around 1:30pm and Rich from Fleshgrind/United Guttural Records gave me a wrist band so that I could go anywhere with no problems.

We watched Sik Fuk,Screaming Afterbirth, and Bound & Gagged of which B&G were the best of the three. Then we left and headed back to the hotel to get my camera. I put my camera in a box that Rich gave me so that I could smuggle it in. I went back to the fest and Osborne stuck around in the room for a bit.

I walked around a little bit and bought some CD's and met up with Osborne again. Then he went back to the hotel. I stuck around and was hanging out with guys I know from Chicago.

I left for awile to get something to eat and then headed back over to the fest around 6:30pm to catch the rest of Cephalic Carnage's set. This is when Osborne met up with Rev and they hung out together. I didn't see them there and saw Disinter play next. Checked out some other bands and then caught up with Rev and Osborne. The best bands that played on Saturday were Skinless,Dew-Scented,Dragonlord, and Susperia. I talked with the guys from Susperia and had my pic taken with them. We got a picture taken of Rev, Osborne, and me before the end of the show.

I had a great time hanging out with Rev and Osborne. It was a fun time all around.
