I've officially discovered I've become the world biggest cheapskate when it comes to buying CDs, almost to the point where I will refuse to pay anything more than $10 unless it is among the near 5% of godliness, only then is it worth more...but that's another story. It was cool to meet Drunkinstoper, Ripper is a righteous individual as well. I met Glen Benton, shook his hand a couple times. Cool guy no matter what anyone says about him, he was really down to earth, straight shooting and pretty modest actually. Here's a quick run down from my perspective: Yeah, great show by all the bands. Prices sucked generally at CM and The End and some other huge amount of overpriced CDs stand I don't know the name of. I dealt with anyone that would deal with me, if not I just walked away. I managed to score a lot of great CDs for $10 or less. Relapse had some killer deals and I actually had to pay $12 for one CD. Guess I'll be saying good-bye to The End, hello Willowtip, Ebay and CM new release $10 promotions. Hooked up with my bro Ripper, and met another cool bro, Drunkinstoper on Friday. Spent too much money on beer and nachos. Took about 200 pictures. Had a blast, heard a dude from The Chasm raise a toast to "the worst Metalfest ever" but it wasn't, I think him not caring for Lullacry is what triggered it. It was a pretty good fest. I missed a lot of bands I wanted to see as usual but saw a lot of great ones. Recap of the bands: Enslaved were the best. \m/ |
