Me and my friend Joe left around 1:30 and got to the Arena around 4:30, Right before I walked in Ripper called, but he was at his hotel and I told him to call when he got there. I grabbed a beer $4.50 and finished it then tried calling Ripper back, but it was loud and I couldn't hear him so I waited until it was quiet (a rare moment) and met up with him, we then went back to him and his friends room to chug some beers . Ripper is a nut!! The guy is too funny!

Came back bought more beer hung out and listened to some bands, but nothing got my ear until CAGE played. Great stage presence and that guy had a voice!! , I think he thought he was Rob Halford at times, plus he looks like him. Hung out until Macabre was about to play, then Ripper saw Rev Jim Jones so I met him and we all got pics together, and I have beer in my hand! Rev is a big dude with really long hair, and his girlfriend is really short. They both are really cool and easy going. (REV I need to find a gf that knows as much about Metal as her!)

MACABRE came on stage and the crowd went nuts. They played 2 or 3 songs from the Upcoming Murder Metal and a bunch from Dahmer. These guys are nuts on stage, especially Corporate Death. It's funny because CD has a mullet and mustache and Dennis the Menace looks just like a guy my dad used to play softball with . I really liked how they gave a detailed intro about the serial killer before the started the song, the highlight is when they did the song about Ed? Fish and they had a guy dressed up as him and came on stage. GREAT BAND!

Drank more beer, and Lullacry was the next band I checked out. They weren't that good, the music wasn't THAT heavy and Tanja doesn't have much of a voice and no range, BUT DAMN IS SHE HOT!!!! She was wearing a skimpy skirt, and a fishnet to with a silver top thingy . The one guitarist looked and acted just like he was in an 80's hair band. He had the girlish long blond hair and did the gutair-behind-his-back thing while making funny shapes with his mouth.

Next was WINDR They were wearing Corpse Paint BLACK METAL They FUCKING RULED!! Folky Black metal with Keyboards, and just a kick ass performance, these guys looked really young, also. They really appreciated the crowd! Next was ENSLAVED, first of all I have never heard anything by them before, and was I surprised how much they just kicked all ass! The singer has about the best extreme vocals I have ever heard, and the use of the Keys was top-notch! They finished up with a track from the old ENSLAVED/EMPEROR split album which I loved! I am a fan now and will pick some up my next haul!

Asagaroth was next and they were pretty good, and had a kind of death/ blackish thing and funky keyboards, but I really didn't pay much attention. Then NAGLFAR played and the crowd went nuts, I didn't like the vocal style, but they were heavy!

Then the moment I was waiting for-SYL! Devin came out screaming WE ARE STRAPPING YOUNG LAD FROM CANADA AND WE FUCKING HATE YOU!! and then ripped into a track from the title album, the entire set was all from the new album(I think) and they didn't stp at all. Devin has the most aggressive stage presence I have ever seen, he is beyond intense, I wish I had that much energy! Gene Hooligan is a GOD, like I said the band didn't stop, which means him especially--non stop blast beats and stuff. SYL was the highlight of the night for me! After SYL was Body Count w/ICE T-we left fast!

I was going to stay in a hotel but one of the guys messed up and couldn't sneak us in, so I drove back at 3:00 a.m.really tired. I was out of money(spent $140 ) and really didn't came if I missed today's bands because most are Brutal Death and that's not my thing.
