Descent
Into Chaos
[Century Media] If you are one of the countless Melodic Death Metal fans out there, I know you've heard of Nightrage. With so much talent and experience in this band it's no wonder they kick ass like they do. Their newest CD, "Descent Into Chaos", only their second release, is going to grab any Metal head by the balls and force them to listen, and I'm betting they will love it. With a line up like Marios Iliopoulus of Greece, his guitar partner in crime Gus G. (of Dream Evil), Vocalist, Tomas Lindberg (ex-At The Gates singer), and (ex-Cradle Of Filth/ex-Septic Flesh drummer), Fotis Benardo on the skins and Henric Carlsson (Cipher System), hammering bass lines, these guys can't help but to Rock! This extreme CD is ripe with focus, thrashing rage, dissected anger, and dueling leads mixed with percussion's of stunning technique. "Descent Into Chaos" brings it, and brings it hard! The recording mix is clean and tight, courtesy of producer Patrik J. Sten at Gothenburg, Sweden's infamous Studio Fredman, and may just be the best sounding recording this studio has ever released. The instrumental, "Solus" is a prime example of the range and versatility Nightrage has, the drummers technique is simply awesome as is the melody of strings with a wicked fade out ending. "Reality vs.Truth" is another favorite of mine on this CD that you guys just have to get! Nightrage's "Descent Into Chaos" is about as tuff as it get's...and that's all I have to say about that! |
