Goat
[Revenge Productions] Nunslaughter are back in their classic Satanic form, this time bringing fifteen tracks of pure death-meets-thrash mayhem. Just like their previous works, no song can be any longer than three minutes, for we all know that long songs are the work of Jesus Christ; we can’t have that, now can we? These guys always amused me for some reason. The riffs are heavy, the drums blend in perfectly with said riffs, and the singer sounds good with his raspy-growling technique. The production on the album is the one thing that could use the most work. The overall recording is fuzzy, there are times when the drums drown out the guitars on specific notes. The guitars actual sound pretty good, but they need to be just a little more crisp, and as for the bass guitar, it almost sounds like they don’t have one. Overall, this is pretty much exactly what one would expect from Nunslaughter: a nonstop barrage of Satanic death metal with the longest song clocking at 3:07. “Goat” is overall a pretty good album, and would be a great choice for those unfamiliar with Nunslaughter, and their longtime fans will definitely not be disappointed with this release. |
