Vader
Blood
[Metal Blade]

Vader’s back without so much as missing a beat. On their newest release, Blood, they return in the death metal fashion that only Vader know how to do. Fast paced songs all throughout the album, double-bass rampages, snare blast-beats, blazing fast dive bar guitar solos, it’s all here; just like every other album they’ve put out. Given, this album does rock, I’ve banged my head to the entire thing, but I have to be honest and say that there is absolutely no difference between Blood and any other release they’ve done. There’s no stand out track, no new style or song creation to separate Blood from their past albums, just more of what Vader do best: play fast, brutal death metal.

The production is really good on this album, no complaints except for the fact that the overall tone seems to be a little on the high end, but nothing to really gripe about.

Overall, if you’re a Vader fan, you won’t be disappointed by Blood. But a very significant warning, the song “Angel of Death” IS NOT A COVER OF SLAYER!!!!! Other than that, have fun.
