About James:   All my life i've been obsessed with listening to music. my tastes have gone through some shifts over the years, but loud, fast, guitar driven music has always been very dear to me. i think it may have started when i was about 8 or 9, when my father used to sit me down and make me listen to the ramones, black sabbath, and the blue oyster cult. "this is real music" he told me, and i took those words very seriously. early on, punk and hardcore were my favorite types of music. bands like black flag, the misfits, minor threat, and suicidal tendencies were among my favorites.

Later on, i moved more into the realm of thrash metal with bands like d.r.i., anthrax, death angel, and slayer. naturally, death metal came next and i fell in love with the music of death, morbid angel, carcass, and grave. Once i was finally introduced to black metal, I became quite fond of it as well. i make an effort to go to as many shows as possible, and love looking for and finding new and exciting bands to enjoy.
